Track Name: Invisible Fences
Capstan - Invisible Fences (Lyrics)

It's like we're pitching rocks aimlessly into the great unknown. Skipping stones into the widest lake yet no target for our throws. And as the water's laying as flat as glass, still and silent, a sleeping giant, unanswered like the questions we're too comfortable to ask.

No tidal waves or tide to break. The shit you've been spoon fed but have yet to taste. Built up a tolerance to the system that's in place. We're all on the edge of darkness. No light in sight. No future to harvest.

We've found no real solutions only outcomes from bad decisions on a crash course. We're unknowing what comes of these collisions. Society continues to regress as we grow older. We're busy as slaves to the almighty dollar.

The corrupt have led the blind. They only show you what they want you to find. So keep your head down and fall in line.

No tidal waves or tide to break. The shit you've been spoon fed but have yet to taste. Built up a tolerance to the system that's in place. We're all on the edge of darkness. No light in sight. No future.

These self proclaimed modern day saints have fueled the hatred that's construed our faith. No matter what you see when you look in the mirror, your reflection's still bound by all living sinners.

We're all just delaying what's become inevitable. Prolonging the agony of a tired and dying world.

These self proclaimed modern day saints have fueled the hatred that's construed our faith. No matter what you see when you look in the mirror, your reflection's still bound by all living sinners.
Track Name: Return to Sender
Capstan - Return To Sender (Lyrics)

I've spent this time in the company of all my vices at the mercy of a mind running tired and endless.

When I close my eyes and fall asleep every night these past few weeks I find myself with you again. Still sharing breaths still holding hands but I wake fast and gasp for air if what's not real is all still there.

Never had an honest answer. Face the brutal truth. Found no trace of hope in a wasted you. You're a wilting flower with dying roots. Burnt out the candle that went like our faded youth.

Her life is comfortable and grounded by aesthetics.

Shallow as they come in your own shadow of death. Treading light enough just to save some breath.
Caught in the undertow of your waves I sense the tides are rising slow like your entitlement.

Your heart has changed and dragged me out. What happened to the love we found or what I defined because I believed the words you wrote and spoke to me.

Never had an honest answer. Face the brutal truth. Found no trace of hope in a wasted you. You're a wilting flower with dying roots. Burnt out the candle that went like our faded youth.

A white picket fence, yet a lack of substance. Your empty hands placed hope in circumstance.
Track Name: Wax Poetic
Capstan - Wax Poetic (Lyrics)

She always seems to color me the only shade she couldn't see. I am transparent I am a ghost. A grain of sand on the Sunshine Coast.

And I woke up today and figured I'd burn everything that made me think of you. And the saddest part is I was left with nothing by the time that I was through.

You had me like the first breath of a Midwest autumn evening. As the sunset fades to cold air to freeze the evergreens. So can we take some time to redefine what it is you thought you'd find. Because when you left that night, you left me behind.

I woke up today and figured I'd burn everything that made me think of you. And the saddest part is I was left with nothing. You were fibers in the thread that stitched demons in my head. The reason I'll drink on my own tonight instead. I never thought three beautiful words would have a grip so tight. You crippled my throat.

She always seems to color me the only shade she couldn't see. I am transparent. Transparent as a ghost.
Track Name: Consumed
Capstan - Consumed (Lyrics)

I'm laced with outrage and what the new self entails. In a world corrupt were forced footing on corroded nails. The big pictures painted in life of what mankind has been reflecting as the true artists compose a vision we've long been neglecting.

You are a waste of nights past lining the streets as a piece of discarded trash.

It's desolate and isolated. The world we've built our lives on. It's hollow and we're in graves engrained in separation.

Douse me in whiskey and gasoline. Excuse me sir could you please hold my drink step back light a match and watch the whole damn thing burn. Watch the white sheep burn. You're all nameless and faceless.

You are a waste of nights past lining the streets as a piece of discarded trash.

You're all about products and sales. Conformed beliefs to the church of retail. In constant search of your next purchase. Is it worth my time, your place of worship?

It's desolate and isolated. The world we've built our lives on. It's hollow and we're in graves engrained in separation.

Clever lies pass through dying eyes. You stay dormant as your life flies by. Never knowing what means to really be alive.

I'll stay uncomfortably awake to watch the whole world fall apart. Truthfully it seems to me that we're all fucked from the start.

I'll stay uncomfortably awake to watch the whole world fall apart. Truthfully it seems to me that we're all fucked.

It's desolate and isolated. The world we've built our lives on. It's hollow and we're in graves engrained in separation.

Clever lies pass through dying eyes. I can't stay dormant as my life flies by. I need to know what it means to be alive. What it means to be alive.
Track Name: The Death of an Illusion
Capstan - The Death of an Illusion (Lyrics)

I once heard my mother say that heaven isn't really so far away but recently somethings changed in me and I know this will kill her but I'll have to disagree.

Because I've grown tired of the stained-glass and ceiling tiles, prescription pills and the blind faith trials. It's genocide in a different style.

I won't ask for forgiveness. I won't ask for forgiveness. I'm no longer afraid.

Because I've found faith in myself and the people I love. Not through medication or forgiveness from above. Left in the dark with no divine light. Only helping hands and my own will to fight.

With experience we unearth the roots to grow. At one point in time our rope ends or unwinds and leaves your mind tangled and closed. Role searching, it's what defeats and mangles most. But what keeps your heart soul surfing lends to living on as ghosts.

Maybe we're not all living in hell but we've been conditioned to live in a prison cell. Hide me from whatever concept this instills or hang me from the rafters of this people mill.

Death is an architect. It's shaping days and taking names through heart attacks and common disconnects.

And at least I can say I'll be ready for it.
